A Dreamy Weekend at Four Seasons Mallorca at Formentor
Some destinations feel like well-kept secrets, and the newly opened Four Seasons Mallorca at Formentor is one of them. Nestled in a UNESCO World Heritage site, this luxurious yet tranquil retreat redefines the Mediterranean escape.
We visited for a weekend getaway—from Friday to Sunday—and were completely enchanted. It was my first time exploring this northern tip of the island, and it turned out to be one of the most magical discoveries in Mallorca.
Nature, Light & Tranquility
Surrounded by lush nature and perfectly manicured gardens, the hotel sits above a stretch of beach with crystal-clear waters that gently kiss the sand below. The natural beauty is complemented by the resort's design: elegant, open, and full of local character.
We stayed in a Pine View Room with calming beach-inspired interiors and a beautiful small balcony overlooking the pool, the ocean, and the tiny Illa de Formentor, a scenic islet just offshore that adds a cinematic layer to the view. The light here is something else: soft, golden, and utterly dreamy, especially at dawn and dusk.
Pools, Service & Calm Luxury
The property features two heated pools, each offering a completely different vibe. One feels serene and tucked into nature, while the other feels more open and glamorous—both equally magical, depending on your mood. The vibe throughout is understated luxury: peaceful, grounded, and deeply relaxing.
Dining Highlights: Shima & Mel
Our dining experience at the newly opened Shima was a standout. We chose their signature Omakase menu, a surprising and exquisite fusion of Japanese techniques and Peruvian flavors. Every dish was a celebration of creativity.
Breakfasts were served à la carte at the light-filled restaurant Mel, with plenty of elevated and healthy options like açai bowls and avocado toast. It was the kind of breakfast you linger over, watching the morning light filter through palms and bougainvillea.
Final Thoughts
What truly made this stay unforgettable were the peaceful moments—sitting on our balcony, hearing nothing but the sea and the breeze through the pine trees, and feeling like we were in a film.
Four Seasons Formentor is perfect for couples in search of intimacy and serenity, but also ideal for families, with space to explore and plenty of thoughtful touches.
This is not just a hotel—it’s an experience of Mallorca at its most poetic.
