Above the Clouds: A Secluded Escape at Villa Honegg, Switzerland

We also enjoyed time in the well-equipped gym and sauna, which added to the wellness-focused atmosphere.

Each night, we dined at the hotel’s restaurant and opted for their refined three-course menu. Every dish was balanced, beautifully plated, and deeply satisfying. Breakfasts were served à la carte with an elevated touch—fresh ingredients, quiet elegance, and a view to match.

The staff made our stay even more memorable. Every interaction felt warm and genuine, with an attention to detail that never felt forced. As a lovely surprise, Villa Honegg also features a private cinema room for guests—a cozy luxury for quiet evenings.

One of the highlights of our stay was a scenic hike that begins just steps from the hotel. We followed a beautiful mountain route that led us to the famous Hammetschwand Elevator—the highest outdoor lift in Europe—with breathtaking views over Lake Lucerne and the surrounding peaks. It was the perfect complement to the peacefulness of the hotel, adding a touch of adventure and discovery to our stay.
